What we do with your details

Who we are

This site belongs to Inview Glass and Aluminium (ABN 25 262 482 856), a glazing business based in Inverloch, Victoria. If you'd like to talk to somebody about anything on this page, ring 0419 349 286 or email rhett@inviewglass.com.au.

What the form collects

The quote form asks for your name, phone number, email address, suburb, the type of work you need and whatever details you type in, and that's all it collects, which you only hand over if you choose to fill the form in.

Those details are emailed straight to us so we can quote your job and get back to you, and a copy goes to the inbox of the agency that built and looks after this site as a backstop so an enquiry still turns up if something breaks with the email, but nobody else receives it.

Submissions are also written to a log file on the web server for the same reason. We're not building a mailing list, we don't sell or share your details with anyone, and you won't be added to any marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails stay in our mailbox the way any work email does, and the server log gets cleared out periodically. If you'd like your enquiry deleted, just ask and it will be, along with anything still sitting in the log.

Other services this site uses

Three, and the first two only on the pages that need them:

• Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the quote form to keep spam bots out. It works by checking your browser in the background, so there's no puzzle for you to solve, and the only thing it receives is technical detail about the device you're on.
• SMTP2GO is the mail service that carries the enquiry from the website to our inbox.
• Google Analytics counts visits so we can see which pages people actually read and whether the site is being found, and it sets cookies on your browser to do that. It tells us how many people came and roughly whereabouts they were, never who they are, and you can opt out of it across every site that uses it with Google's own browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Beyond the analytics cookies there are no advertising pixels and no social media trackers on this site, and if that ever changes this page gets updated first.

Server logs

Like every website, the server keeps standard access logs covering the IP address, the page requested, the time and which browser made the request, and they're only used for security and for working out what's broken.

If you think your information has been mishandled, raise it with us first on the number above, and if that doesn't sort it out you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
